AP720 AND AP760 AUTOMATED HANDLERS
-          A new benchmark for programming speed and throughput -
 
Taipei. Taiwan July 31, 2012 – System General Corp., a leading provider of device programming equipment, today announced a new series of automated handlers, the 4-site AP720 and the 9-site AP760. Sales and delivery of the new handlers are available from System General corporate facilities in Taiwan, the USA and China, or through its authorized distributors worldwide!
 
The new handlers feature the innovative quad-site gantry, advanced high-speed hardware, high programming throughput, versatile I/O peripheral interfaces and universal device supports designed for mass production applications!   
 
Innovative Quad-site Gantry
The new AP720 and AP760 come with the System General 3rd-generation quad-site gantry which picks and places 4 devices simultaneously at each processing cycle. Compared to the single-site gantry, the quad-site design excels in reducing the gantry traveling overheads by 45% and is able to slash the averaged cycling time for each device from 4.5 seconds on the single-site gantry to approximately 2.5 seconds on the quad-site gantry.
 
Advanced High-speed Hardware
The new handlers use an enhanced ball-screw system to increase the gantry traveling speed by 30% faster than that of the prior System General automated models. Since small device packages have become the major market trend, each nozzle is equipped with its individual airflow and vacuum controls to ensure consistent and reliable processing for small packages on all nozzles.
 
High Programming Throughput    
With the matching quad-site socket boards and quad-site I/O peripherals installed, AP720 and AP760 are able to program over 1800 devices per hour. To program eMMC devices, the eMMC-S8 socket boards contain up to eight sockets. Since the footprint of each 4 socket set matches the same footprint of the quad-site gentry, AP720 and AP760 are able to process 4 eMMC devices at each cycle, the most effective way to automate eMMC programming in the industry!
 
The throughput of 1800 devices per hour sets a new benchmark for the device programming industry! It also means that, with AP720 and AP760, the programming centers can afford quoting a more competitive pricing for their device programming services.
 
Versatile I/O Peripheral Interfaces
The System General Auto-Tray Stacker, designed to hold up to 20 JEDEC trays, comes standard on AP720 and AP760! Besides, the handlers’ over-hang gantry allows users to dock other optional I/O peripherals simultaneously, including Tape I/O, Tube I/O, Laser-marker, Labeler and Lead-inspection Module.
